Gone are the days of ’27 Dresses’ when your bridesmaids will never wear their dresses again. In recent years, bridesmaid’s dresses have begun to be more in line with everyday fashion, allowing your bridesmaids to love and rewear their dresses! We wanted to share some of the fun bridesmaids dress trends that we have recently seen at our DFW barn wedding venue.

• Tea length dresses have been having their moment recently, and that moment has not ended yet! In fact, we are beginning to see tea length bridesmaids dresses more and more. Tea length dresses are on the more casual side, but are equal parts classy. This makes for the perfect dress for an afternoon or brunch wedding. These dresses are perfect for weddings in the hotter months, too!
• Another trend we have seen is the two-piece bridesmaid “dress.” Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean crop tops are in! An example of this trend is your bridesmaids wearing a sheath type skirt with a sparkling blouse tucked in. This look can be as casual or fancy as you would like it to be.
• Instead of having your bridesmaids be in the exact same dress, give them a color or color scheme to stick to with loose rules, like only long dresses. This will not only give some differentiation at the alter and in pictures, but will allow your girls to feel comfortable in what makes them comfortable!
• Lastly, we are in the age of the modern woman! Ditch the dresses altogether and go for a jumpsuit. Not only will it be unique, but your bridesmaids will be able to wear this outfit again and again. Everyone will still look just as cute as they would in dresses, but you will stand out even more since you’ll be the only one in a dress.
